Over the past few years, we've seen the application for our MACX bins change and evolve. MACX bins began primarily storage and transport containers for the agricultural industry (grapes, apples, potatoes, onions, limes, oranges, etc.) but quickly attracted the attention of other industries for their incredible durability, lightweight construction, and customizability for any application. Harvesting Applications
One of the original applications for the MACX bins, their impact-resistant, high-density polyethylene material makes them perfect for protecting your harvested product. Same materials are the reasons MACX bins are:

Mold and mildew resistant
Corrosion resistant.
Smooth surfaces make cleaning and sterilization a breeze. Internal corners are round to reduce bruising to your product and can handle up to 1,500 lbs. of product. When empty these containers are also nestable saving an entire bin's worth of space in a two-bin footprint.
Food Material Handling
As may be expected, MACX's success in harvesting applications made them a natural success in food material handling applications. All bins meet USDA/HACCP standards for food product handling.
Grapes
Our bins were engineered to fit directly onto harvesting equipment, making it extremely simple to move grapes from the field to processing or straight to market.
Onions
Vented versions of the containers are perfect for onion storage and handling. Onions are able to be harvested and stored in the bins and can easily be transported from the field to the drying chambers and onto the packing shed or straight to market. 3-runner design permits the containers to be emptied directly from the fork lift.
Meat/Poultry/Seafood
With smooth walls and durable HDPE Plastic, our bins are not only UV-resistant but can also be consistently pressured washed and sterilized, making them perfect for meat/poultry/seafood storage and handling.
Containers are also made to last meaning less frequent repair and replacement, and when empty can be nested and stacked to save space. USDA/HACCP standards are met while forming to GMA standards.
Lastly, depending on your facility and processing procedures, runner design can be changed as preferred. Both short side or long side replaceable runners available.
Industrial Material Handling
The newest application for these bins, industrial materials. With their impact, and temperature resistance, they are great for storing and transporting any industrial product up to 1,500 Lbs.
There are also an abundant of size options, solid or vented sizes, flexible runner configurations, and great color choices are part of our standard offering. Plus, you can customize sizes, add casters, doors, lids, drains, RFID tracking and more.
And lastly, all bins meant to last and are completely recyclable once they reach the end of their product life.
Customizable Options
Custom options for our MACX bins are almost limitless. We have an in-house team of experts for our custom fabrication division, meaning if you need something added or removed, we can get it done.
If you like the safety of getting modifications from the manufacturer directly, that is also an option but please account for long lead times. Following are options directly from the manufacturer that we can order for you:
Bin Color
Bin colors are fully customizable, with a minimum order quantity required. Standard stocking colors are only available for solid wall (vented wall are only stocked in grey) bins. You can choose from: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Black, White, and Grey.
Side Access
Cutout Walls, removable walls or hinged drop doors are available.
Drains
Choose from drainplugs or bulkhead drains are available for draining liquids out from your container.
Labels, Card Holders & RFID Tags
For bigger production facilities, labels, card holders & RFID Tags are available to identify your product and integrate boxes with your inventory management systems.
Runners
All runners are replaceable for both the 40" and 48" models. All models are 4-way entry, and options include 3-runner short side or 2-runner long side.
Casters
Choose from polyurethane-on-iron or stainless steel in 4", 5", or 6" casters. Perfect for improving efficiency, ergonomics, and workflow. Call us for your specific application as certain runners may render your bin un-stackable.
Embossing
Permanently emboss your name, logo, text, or graphics on the side of your bin. Minimum quantity order required.
