Spray-Foam Insulated Tanks

Updated: Dec 8, 2020

If you're looking to protect your tank from the elements or to cut heating and cooling costs, custom spray foam insulation for your tank might be the way to go. Spray foam insulation is a great way to get the benefits of a more expensive tank, such as a heated tank, without the same added expense.

The weather-tight layer that's created by the foam insulation adds protection to your tank to deal with fluctuations in the weather and temperature; this also slightly increases the structural integrity of the tank and may help keep it in use for a longer period of time. Of course, all valves, fasteners, controls, or entry points are either removed or covered while the tank is being insulated. Excess foam can also be trimmed if it ends up covering an opening or space that should be left clear of foam.

Custom spray foam can be applied to many of our plastic tanks, but consult one of our specialists beforehand to ensure that you get exactly what you're looking for and that the foam we use can be applied safely and effectively.

Check out some of the process below. Valves and fittings have been removed so that the foam can be applied, and then the job is inspected afterwards.
